One of the Nordic region’s largest energy companies required fouling removal of three Texas Towers at one of its refineries based in Sweden. The assets had not been cleaned for many years, so Tube Tech were called upon to remove the heavy fouling, as global leaders in Texas Tower cleaning.
A team of experienced technicians were mobilised swiftly and used Tube Tech’s JetShoTT technology and multifeed unblocking equipment to tackle the fouling.
Tube Tech’s unique JetShoTT system allows blockages and the level of fouling to be identified quickly. A clean can then be performed in a relatively short space of time (3500m x 20m long tubes). Identifying and removing blockages is key to restoring Texas Towers back to maximum productivity; once these have been dealt with, more intrusive methods can be applied to fully remove fouling.
Using advanced technology that is unique to Tube Tech, the team was able to perform the first stage of the clean within three-day shifts. Traditional technology would take approximately 20 shifts, with more personnel required. The full clean was complete within eight shifts. The client was delighted with the results and our ability to achieve superior results in a short period of time.
