SUPERFAST cleaning technology gets waste-to-energy plant back to full strength
A long-standing relationship has developed between this UK-based power station and Tube Tech as a result of the technology, innovative solutions and results provided.
The Challenge
The high capacity waste-to-energy plant faced a significant loss in performance due to a build-up of fouling. A lack of heat transfer reduced vacuum on the condenser and therefore lowered the MW power output.
The Solution
Having worked with the operator for many years, we were able to specify a rapid solution. A team of two engineers from Tube Tech International completed the project in just two shifts using DarTT technology to clean the 3,500 7-metre-long tubes to full operating capacity.
Once thoroughly cleaned, operators of the waste-to-energy plant welcomed the return of electricity output to the original megawatts.
